All Natural Tile and Grout Cleaner

In the past decade people have become far more environmentally aware and now understand the damage that chemical cleaning products are doing to our local water supplies.  Making the change from a chemical based tile and grout cleaner solution to to an all natural version is actually quite easy and it’s highly likely that you have all of the ingredients necessary already in your home.

Natural tile and grout cleaners Perth solutions are arguably just as good in terms of effectiveness as store bought chemicals, however at least with nature’s finest you needn’t worry about your kids being exposed to harmful toxins or your animals.

One major thing to understand about using bleach.  Many people think that after you’ve bleached the area that it’s clean, but that is simply not the case.  Using bleach simply whitens the area, but mold spores can and will live on, the only difference is you won’t be able to see them anymore.  Which is obviously not a good thing.

For light cleaning of water spots or dirt, grab a sponge and dip it (while damp, not dripping wet) into a bowl of baking soda and give the dirty area a wipe.  After you’re done applying all of the baking soda give it a rinse down.

For stains or some dirt that is a little more stuck on, use a damp sponge in full concentration white vinegar to wipe down the area.  After the vinegar peels off and loosens the more difficult particulate matter, switch to using baking soda for good measure.

For the most difficult stains, Use 2 Tbsp of washing soda, 2 Tbsp of Borax and ½ cup baking soda with 3 Tbsp of dish soap into a single solution to create the most powerful natural tile and grout cleaner.  To loosen the area first use just a 100% concentrate vinegar solution and then use baking soda, once this is done go ahead and use the more powerful concoction here.  If dirt is still stuck on using a heavy brush or scrubbing tool should be all you need to get the grime off.

The most natural and best way to deal with moldy grout is to use a mixture of water and hydrogen peroxide of equal parts.  Spray the grout until it is well saturated with the solution, wait for one hour and then give it a wipe down.

At the end of the day if it’s important to you to get your bathroom sparkly fresh without the use of harsh chemicals these natural tile and grout cleaner recipes are for you.
